Good morning and happy Easter to you. Thank you for sharring this joyous day with us. Today we take a break from our regular service and celebrate the most important day in the history of the world; the day Jesus rose from the dead.
The resurrection of Jesus goes back to the beginning of time when God promised he would do it and the patriarchs believed it. The prophets foretold it and the scribes preserved it. The Psalmist sung about it and the faithful waited for it. As improbably as it sounds Jesus did it, and today the faithful believe it.
Some two thousand years ago the two extremes of God’s love – His grace and His mercy – met at the cross. Three days later when Jesus rose from the dead, bad news lost for all time.
